These terms cover your use of Thryft Shop, a tool that turns photos of items into marketplace listings. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Plain language, no surprises.
What the service does
You upload photos; Thryft Shop identifies the item, drafts listing text and pricing suggestions, edits the photos, and — when you connect a marketplace account and choose to publish — creates listings there on your behalf. eBay and Etsy are supported today; other marketplaces appear in Settings as they are added, and nothing is sent anywhere you have not connected and chosen.
Your account
- You need a valid email address and a password of at least 8 characters. Keep your password to yourself; you’re responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be old enough to hold a selling account on the marketplace you connect, in your country.
- You can delete your account at any time, from inside the app: Settings → Delete account. Your account, your listing drafts and your stored marketplace tokens go straight away; your uploaded photos are then deleted from our image storage, which runs just after and can take a short while to finish on a large account. No email, no waiting period. See the privacy policy for what deletion does and does not reach.
Your content
Your photos and listing text stay yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store, process, and display your photos, send them to our AI provider for identification, and transmit your listing content to the marketplaces you choose when you publish. We don’t use your content to advertise, and we don’t sell it.
You’re responsible for having the right to use the photos you upload and for the accuracy of what you list.
AI-generated content
Titles, descriptions, item specifics, and price suggestions are generated by an AI model and can be wrong. Review every listing before you publish it. You are the seller: what goes live is your responsibility, including its accuracy, condition description, and compliance with the policies of the marketplace you list on and with applicable law.
The marketplaces
Thryft Shop is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by eBay Inc., Etsy, Inc., or any other marketplace it connects to. Your selling relationship with each of them — fees, policies, payouts, disputes, and account standing — is between you and that marketplace, and their own terms govern it.
Connecting an account authorizes Thryft Shop to act on it through that marketplace’s API, for the things the app does: reading your listings, creating and updating them, and ending them when you ask. You can revoke that access from the marketplace’s own account settings at any time, and deleting your Thryft Shop account removes the tokens we hold — though it does not, by itself, end listings that are already live. Those stay up and keep selling until you end them where they are.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Thryft Shop to list items you can’t legally sell, to misrepresent goods, to infringe anyone’s rights, or to attack, overload, or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
Availability and changes
The service is provided as-is, without warranties, and may change or be unavailable at times. We don’t guarantee that AI output is accurate, that publishing will succeed, or that the service will be uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost sales.
If we change these terms materially, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
